Organized by t he Canada EU Trade and Investment Association, it brought together policymakers, academics, and industry voices to reflect on where Canada–EU relations stand today — and more importantly, where they’re heading. It’s hard to believe that nearly a decade has passed since the signing of CETA. At the time, it was celebrated as a landmark agreement — ambitious, forward-looking, and symbolic of a strong transatlantic partnership. But sitting in that room, one thing became clear: the world around CETA has changed dramatically. The discussions kept circling back to the same question: how can this agreement stay relevant in today’s geopolitical climate?
